Franklin County Public Health Services aims to provide home and public services utilizing personal and community resources to prevent and manage problems that contribute to poor health; to promote wellness intervention in the county via the New York State Department of Health Prevention Agenda; to prepare for emergencies; to implement/enforce Public Health Law, Sanitary Code of New York State; to participate in the activities of local, regional, state, and national organizations representing the health care industry; and to provide learning experiences for students from a variety of professions and for the community at large.
- The Agency as a non-profit certified home health agency shall provide skilled nursing, physical, speech, and occupational therapy and home health aide services to patients in Franklin County who are currently under the care of a physician.
- The Franklin County Public Health Services shall provide health guidance to all ages of individuals, families, and the community at large. The goal shall be the opportuinty to obtain and maintain good health.
- The Agency shall cooperate with and assist schools, human services agencies and other members of the community who seek to promote good health.
- The Agency will oversee ongoing assessment of community health needs. This information will be made available to appropriate agencies and will be used in program planning by the governing authority.
